It has been two years since a glimpse. Glad to have found you, Coffee Prince. – 10.26.14

I was able to go to this location shoot the first time that I was in Korea, which was a business trip. It was a quick one wherein we just had our photos taken as the cafe then was closed for renovation. The year after, on my second (but first leisure) trip, it was on my itinerary but I got too busy with walking around the busier part of Hongdae that I failed to look for it. Finally this year, I had my time to explore the tame side of Hongdae in search of a favorite Korean drama’s location shoot.
On the way to my unexpected success at finding cafe, I experienced drizzle, an encounter with a nice old man on a convenience store’s counter and a discovery of this Pollalla Museum which houses different kinds of toys – some for display, some also for sale.
Playground where there was not much play
~~~
Travel, art and chicken. What else could I ask for: 😮
~~~
Fun pee place
~~~
Almost a pojangmacha (but I was still too chicken to try)
~~~
Yes, we shell fish!
~~~
Unexpectedly came across another location shoot. This one’s for the Koreanovela Love Rain. Jang Keun Suk was here!
~~~
What could be more fun than that?
~~~
That space sets the difference
~~~
Creepy big-eyed receptionist
~~~
Oh how I wish I remember my Korean.
~~~
Wanted to take some home and use as coasters
~~~
Notewall.
~~~
Hmm that box on the right just confused me. Chucky as Bride of Chucky?
~~~
Too many items to look at!
~~~
Reminded me of a favorite place in Manila – Cubao Expo
~~~
Weee. Casper the Friendly Ghost
~~~
Tiny ‘humans’
~~~
And just more of them
~~~
Oh that’s Mr Home Alone guy! (before he became an addict 😦 )
~~~
I don’t know her but got my attention for she looks like a doll – as a doll and as herself!
~~~
And I think this guy is one from the Koreanovela Winter Sonata
~~~
And I think this one’s one of the leads in Princess Hours
~~~
And of course, these classic toy soldiers
~~~
Tengu! ( What, for some reason, my boyfriend calls me 😀 )
~~~
Romantically thrilled by this! In Filipino, we call this “kilig!”
~~~
Mini-convenience store!
~~~
Star Wars overload
~~~
Lightsaber overload too
~~~
Chewbacca!
~~~
Was sole customer at Coffee Prince Cafe where over an overpriced mint tea, there were moments of eavesdrop to what seemed to me an argument between the owners. Just when about to leave, lady who called herself Teacher offered to take what I thought to be just a photo yet ended up multiple, one for each change in color of lights wrapped around that Christmas tree in the background!
Was told it was better to take cab back to Hapjeong bit trusted gut that could walk back there. Ended up walking and walking until my feet gave up. Oh well, Seoul, so much to my beloved walking trips until the very end -and a rather chilly night at that.
Please.
My cup of (slightly overpriced) tea
~~~
So cute this Yoon Eun Hye!
~~~
Male lead’s signature is quite fun too!
~~~
And this one just looked like waves. (If I am not mistaken, this actor died a few years back)
~~~
That drama’s funny guy
~~~
This one a side of the love triangle
~~~
I don’t remember this spot from the drama
~~~
According to Teacher, it was Yoon Eun Hye who did that doodle on the right. Cute
Forced to smile 😀
~~~
And then she started taking multiple pictures!
~~~
Yep. Hold that ‘pose’
~~~
Hold it..
~~~
Nice to meat you too. (That just doesn’t sound right)
~~~
Beer is what makes the world go round
Madholic slash war-freak
