A kill-time afternoon with those cats and a dog – 10.26.14
>>>>>
A round two at an animal cafe on my third day in Seoul. After some search around Hongdae for a cat cafe, finally found one that is right across the Hongdae Playground. I have not been to others so I could not compare how this one fares compare to others (as I believe there are more cat than dog cafes in the city) but it was quite an experience that I killed almost two hours just taking photos of these cute snobs.
Cat overload, indeed plus well – some of this adorable only dog resident whose existence when I asked the crew she oddly explained “I don’t know. The owner has a dog so he’s here.” Okay, I no longer know how to respond to that. Side story too of this only cat who approached me but after a few seconds, I found out it was only because she thought she could share my caffeine.
How functional those holes on each table’s corner

Just so I remember the name

This adorable kid will later on be my silent playmate

Blurry kitty

Iiiiih to that tongue. (Sometimes, it’s just really hard to describe cute)
~~~
Snow White!
~~~
Or is this? Funny how for a few minutes, was wondering whether this is a cat or a dog.
~~~
Weeee. (And I am making all these strange sounds)
~~~
Quick ‘playtime’ with this only friendly resident
~~~
And I just envy this cat’s comfort
~~~
From this angle though, he looks kind of sad
~~~
This one just looks like his nostrils are getting bigger
~~~
And this one looks like he/she is on alert mode.
~~~
And this one’s just trying to be prim and proper while catching a nap
~~~
Grumpy ball of fur
~~~
Lazy
~~~
Angry.
~~~
Cat thought bubble: Who is this person taking a photo of me?
~~~
Fur to fur
~~~
Shocked
~~~
Just when I thought that cat wanted to me. He/she was just after my drink!
~~~
I was scared for this cat
Death by cat attack
We meet again, Snow White!
~~~
Ugh
~~~
This one looks ‘kind’ despite the green eyes
~~~
Because for them, it’s all laze and play
~~~
This one looks frail 😦
~~~
Floating cat and one that was just deep in sleep
~~~
Animal prints
~~~
Odd one out
~~~
Thanks to this girl, I confirmed this is a dog
~~~
Mini-jump!
~~~
Couldn’t caption this scene. Adorbs.
~~~
Spot the hidden dog
~~~
Obviously the restless one, hence the blurred photos
~~~
Snooze away from up there
~~~
That cat on the hammock just looks different from every angle
~~~
Aaawww. Stop looking at me like that! 😮
~~~
Paw print playhouse
~~~
Envious of those who get to get cats come to them
~~~
Time for some grooming
ZombieCats
~~~
Is it just me or this one looks like a deer?
~~~
Another one who prefers a high-ground sleep bed
~~~
This cat just looks like a topping on a caramel cake
~~~
One finally using the wheel
~~~
I’m lucky to meet cats
~~~
Hence, an obligatory selfie
~~~
Poker face

Pretending to be asleep

I am an introvert

While I just a sleepyhead

And so am I.

Instant mommy to a cat

Contrast.
~~~
There has got to be house rules
~~~
Hmm. I wonder what this means. Does this have anything to do with poop?

Cat positions (That doesn’t sound so right!)
~~~
When from this angle, this cat looks ‘normal’
~~~
… but I just love this black and white
~~~
A fun find at the cafe’s restroom. So it’s okay to smoke for others?
~~~
How to go to this cat cafe:
(If I remember right, Y Cat Cafe is right across Hongdae Playground and on the second floor of a building.
Not mine but found this article you may find helpful if you want to visit a cat cafe.
There is no entrance fee but you must pay for at least one drink.
Guests are asked to leave their shoes upon entry and wear the cafe’s slippers. Bags must be kept on the locker as well.
